Nage no Kata Clinic Swisshome, OR January 11,

Over the weekend we went to Swisshome, Oregon so two of our instructors could put on a clinic. Sensei (teacher) Haley and Sensei Brynn were hosted by the Mikawa Judo Club to present Nage no Kata (Forms of Throwing). There was attendance from clubs up and down the coast, in addition to Brynn and Haley, Shipyard brought Coaches Rob and Clayton to help as well as members Sabrina, Kyle, Maria, and Dizzy.

We had a good 6 hours on the mats working on the kata (forms) and we all came away from the experience with a positive outlook. More celebratory is that this was the first clinic Haley and Brynn had put on as the instructors. Because of their great experience competing in this kata, no one could tell it was their first time: they were seasoned professionals.
