Seattle Tournament Seattle, WA May 4, 2024

This weekend we sent a few of our members up to Seattle Dojo for it’s annual tournament. Brynn and Haley were competing in the kata (forms) portion and John and Sabrina were competing in the shiai (matches) portion. Coach Rob went up to support and Sabrina helped coach as well.

John had a large group in his pool and ended up going 0-2. Sabrina had a few people in her pool and ended up going 2-1 to take second place. Haley and Brynn were competing in both Ju no Kata (Forms of Gentleness) and Nage no Kata (Forms of Throwing) as well as putting on a demonstration of a third kata, Kodokan Goshin Jutsu (Forms of Self Defense). Brynn and Haley took first in both Ju no Kata and Nage no Kata.
