Rainier Cup Lakewood, WA October 5, 2024

Over the weekend, Shipyard sent a few competitors to the Rainier Cup tournament in Washington. Representing Shipyard on the mats were Jasper, Rye, Kellen, Duke, and Sabrina. Coaches Eric and Tony went up to support our players. We are proud of all our competitors and they did great, especially considering it was the first tournament for three of them. They also got to meet Olympic medalist Travis Stevens.

Jasper won his first match but finished just out off the podium. Sabrina won two matches to win her brown/black belt division and went on to compete in the Cup Open against all the first and second place finishers in the brown and black belt divisions. She won her first match but lost the second, finishing in the top four overall.
